Berghia Nudibranchs Details
Got Aiptasia? Want to get rid of it once and for all? Berghia Nudibranchs, or Aiptasia Eating Nudibranchs, are the cleanup crew you're looking for! These small worm-like creatures hunt aiptasia as a pack and will reproduce in the reef tank, or seperate breeding tank! It's best to add at least 3 of them to the tank at a time so they can pack against aiptasia and potentially breed.
The size of most Berghia Nudibranchs will be between 1/4" and 1/2". While small, these tend to be the size that eat the most aiptasia and will breed when they reach adulthood.
A word of caution, fish such as wrasses and damsels, and inverts such as peppermint shrimp, may hunt Berghia Nudibranchs.
When adding Berghia Nudibranchs, wait until the lights are off and any fish that may hunt them are asleep. Turn off all flow and add the Nudibranchs to a rock near aiptasia, but don't put them on the aiptasia. After about 15 minutes, you should be able to turn flow back on without the Berghia Nudibranchs floating away.
